Robertson Equipment, Inc. is Case IH farm equipment dealer in Colerain North Carolina.

  About Us

In 1960, two brothers, Alton and Milton Robertson started Robertson Brothers in the rural community of Colerain, NC. When the business began it was primarily a fertilizer business, selling fertilizer in bags. In 1969 the first bulk fertilizer truck was purchased and pesticides, seed and anhydrous were brought in for sale.

Looking for a way to retain labor and fill in the lull of the off season, the two brothers started selling short line farm equipment – primarily 6 row 55 gallon sprayers, 6 row peanut dusters, and small disc harrows. As time went on into the 1980’s more employees were added along with more lines of equipment such as Bush Hog, Woods, DMI, Amadas, and Taylor Pittsburgh.

After a few years of doing business as Robertson Brothers and Robertson Equipment, Milton purchased Alton’s half interest and brought his sons into the business in the early 1990’s. The equipment business was separated from the fertilizer business and Robertson Equipment was born. The business has continued to grow into many areas of equipment sales in order to fulfill the diverse needs of the farmer in Eastern North Carolina - from grain handling and storage to tobacco, peanuts and cotton. The recent addition of Case IH in 2008 has completed our offering.

Milton was diagnosed with brain cancer in Jan of 2007 and died on November 3rd 2008. Anyone who met him would tell you that his reputation and special way of treating people is what built Robertson Equipment. His example is what will drive us into the future.
